Course Overview: 120-Hour TEFL Certificate
Our course is 120- hour and stated on the certificate, (unlike some that are only registered for 80-hour and do not state on the certificate)The TEFL Teacher Training course provides you with the practical experience and classroom skills to be a confident, effective, successful teacher of English to foreign learners in Thailand—and anywhere in the world.
Language Analysis The course includes an overview of the English language, grammar and parts of speech with emphasis on their effectiveness and contribution to a balanced syllabus. An overall study of teaching skills explores listening, comprehension, pronunciation, communication, reading, and writing.
Teaching Methodology Through demonstration, a hands-on approach to teaching is emphasized. Techniques learned include giving instructions, eliciting, modeling, highlighting, checking, correcting, and whiteboard use. Trainees also learn classroom control .
Teaching Practice Teaching practice takes place in the classroom and with learners of various levels outside the classroom itself. Trainees present different types of lessons as monitored practice within the classroom. By the third week of the four-week course, trainees are ready to begin a ‘teaching internship’ with actual Thai learners outside of the TEFL classroom. The opportunity to leadat leastten hours of actual classroom time is an invaluable part of the ‘learning to teach’ process.
